Check out the new Chinese-language Web site JSOnline has started. Titled “Yi’s World” the site is ready and waiting to suck American dollars from China through advertising.
Yi Jianlian joined the Milwaukee Bucks last year. The article on today’s MJS front page tagged Yi as a “cultural, economic envoy.” I wonder if that’s in his contract?
It’s subtle, but Journal Communications is now set up to profit – if they can. The site doesn’t show up in a first page search for “Yi Jianlian.” Yet. I suppose the Journal folks will need to do a little marketing of their own.
