R&D tax credit should be made permanent

Congress only extends it in order to extort fund raising for politicians when the extension is about to expire.

Thank you Mr. McCain.

(Oops, back table faux pas. I laughed out loud when he said that.)

  1. Congress only extends it in order to extort fund raising for politicians when the extension is about to expire.

Isn’t that just about the way with any spending item?

I don’t like it, but I’m not too fond of some uber-McCain-Feingold, either.

  2. I think the argument was purely for making the R&D credits permanent. Chances are we’re safe for now.
