Yes and no. The assumption that young men will get out of line is enough to get them pulled over. If they don’t get ticketed for something, the officer might ask them if they need assistance, if perhaps they are lost?

Should have protested guys, you cannot be pulled over for a seatbelt violation in WI. By law, it’s not a primary offense. You can only get a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt if they have pulled you over for some other primary offense (speeding, unsafe lane change, etc…)

What’s the story on the seatbelt charge?

They don’t pull you over for not having seatbelt on.

So what was he really pulled over for that he got a break for working for the senator?
