I’m a big girl. I know fundraising is important to a political campaign. But it’s hard to hear it put like this:
So far, the event calendar on McCain’s Web site lists only the fund-raiser at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center downtown. The posting shows a series of levels of sponsorship, starting at $1,000 for the main reception and rising to $10,000 per person or couple (either raised or donated) for a private reception.

Hey, ya don’t ask, ya don’t get! That might work for a press pass, too.
By the by, did you read David Brooks of the NYTimes this morning? Brooks is one of those conservatives who nearly swoons over Obama on occasion, but not today. I thought his criticism was well-placed, as was his praise of McCain.
