The BoomGrow district?

They are absolutely going to have to rename the 27th street corridor from Boomgaard after this:

A tip from a concerned citizen launched a three-month drug investigation that led police to three homes yesterday in Oak Creek, Franklin and Sturtevant where officers found more than 2,000 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $3 to $5 million, Oak Creek police said today.

Anyone know the Dutch word for reefer?

  1. Adelborst (per
Maybe someone should suggest the Adelborst District to the 27th Street people.

  2. Excellent work, Tara.

    The Adelborst District.

  3. Scott Thinnes says:

    Adelborst is Dutch for “Midshipman”.

When using an online translator you should always reverse engineer what you find to verify the results.

However voorn in Dutch translates to “roach”…just as good…”The Voorn District”

  4. Oh, well maybe I need to check for myself later tonight…

  5. That’s alotta weed!

  6. Bogaard… ?

  7. All that THC could explain why Fischer is always focused on food.

  8. Cap,

That was rather amusing. The sad part of all of this was the fact that 20 years ago, Wal-Mart had the land where the drug house currently sits. Now presently, Wal-Mart is in the Boom-to-da-boomgaard District.

Technically, Cindy is right…and the jokes keep going on!

  9. Dangnabit Scott, you got me. And here I thought Adelborst had such a ring to it (as least as much as “boomgaard”. ) The pictures of the inside of the drug houses on the news last night were disgusting.
