Piffle. What an interesting word!

I’d agree with you but…it’s so weird out there that I wouldn’t predict the absolute of anything right now. Supposedly Obama’s people gave a script of the comments as defense already, which one would tend to interpret as knowing the work exists.

It is curious as to why video wouldn’t surface by now, though. There’s a picture from the event that someone pulled out of public library archives…

If this was a DVD that was marketed by the church there would be dozens of copies extant. There’d be no keeping a lid on it. heck, I bet that the Obama side would leak it just to keep it from becoming the October Surprise that’s really no surprise at all.

This is just puffery and piffle and a damn poor way to pick the most powerful leader in the Free World.

Her question was whether I would be as tolerant of bigotry directed toward a minority group as I seem to be of bigotry directed toward the majority–and would I presume guilt by association.

Of course, it is easy to appear tolerant when I don’t feel threatened. So far, I don’t feel threatened.

“Niggers” haven’t been at the control post for the past 200 years so your argument doesn’t stand up.

Plus, the vast majority didn’t come here of their own accord. That’s like buying a litter of kittens and then complaining that there are too many.

Not that saying “whitey” is right.

I’m teasing with that last point–one opinionated woman to another.

And no, I wouldn’t hold your hypothetical grandmother against you. Actually had a similar experience with a relative’s father-in-law, in the home of my relative. I decided not to argue with him unless there were children present who might take silence as consent. As it happened, no kids there, but the mother-in-law rolled her eyes and left the room.

The intrigue is, well, intriguing, but it isn’t about a supposed hidden camera. It is a supposedly marketed item. Someone would have given it up by now, if only for the pleasure of having the goods. Someone else would surely have tried to buy it, if it existed, to sell magazines.

It’s galling that our political thinkers are not thinking about philosophy or policy or the public interest; they are debating rumors and fabrications. Who wants a president chosen by a p___ing contest?

And, by the way, what’s wrong with an outspoken woman?

Ah, Kathryn, think of what’s at play here. A Republican operative tells a popular Clinton blogger that such exists. As expected the blogger blasts the news, hoping to get the evidence to surface prior to Obama’s capturing the nomination.

Of course, if it’s the best the Republicans have right now, it will show up a week to ten days before the election. If something more juicy comes up, especially about the candidate himself, then we’ll see the potential first lady mouth off at another time convenient for the Republican party.

If such a tape existed, after so many rumors, don’t you think someone would have sold a copy to FOX News by now?

I can think of worse things to call a person than “whitey,” among them: “nut job,” “notorious America-hating buffoon”, and “pathological liar.” No Quarter should try no nonsense.
