David Mastio, please take me out of your wallet

Sorry to the regular readers; this is inside baseball. It shouldn’t last more than a week or two.

Right now what I’d like most in the blogging world is David Mastio’s address so that I can send him a certified letter. Let me know if you can help me out. Otherwise I’m going to have to get Chris Liebenthal involved by sending it to him as the Wisconsin editor.

As you know, I’ve been trying to be removed from this guy named David Mastio’s blog aggregate for Wisconsin. He’s got these things set up all over where he scrapes content from bloggers and puts it on his site with a bunch of advertising. At first it sounds like a good idea – I mean lots of people will see you, right? – but then it turns into something rather yucky. And when you politely ask to be removed? Shazaam. No go. He swears putting my words in his wallet is fair use.

I’ve been getting e-mails from others across the country who have tussled with this guy. Most of them don’t think it’s worth the time to get him off their backs. Plus, it’s expensive to hire the attorney necessary to get this guy to recognize how serious you might be about the whole thing.

David Mastio doesn’t know me. He just knows that my words make him money. He wants to keep it that way. I want it to stop. I know how to do that, too. And I’ve got lots of time and resources.

So you’re gonna have to be patient while I get this guy off my back. I promise, it shouldn’t take long.
