The aldermanic response to the flooding

Director of Public Works Tom Grisa said the joint committees of the Sewer and Water Board and Board of Public Works asked for three things. His office is to provide a list of complaints and the resolutions to those complaints. (Not sure this matters, as many know city hall doesn’t help much and therefore do not file complaints.) Also his office is to determine the priorities in managing the maintenance of stormwater facilities the city commands. Finally, the city is to create and implement and educational campaign on the subject of stormwater management for the homeowner.

I’ve already mentioned to him that I hope they don’t use the city’s newsletter as the only source for education. Between the Mayor’s letter and whatever drivel the Department of Community Development has written, I’ve chosen to file mine in the recycling bin before it ever gets to the house.
