What convention bounce?

For the second day in a row, Rasmussen shows McCain and Obama tied. (Go on – see for yourself!) When adding leaning voters, McCain is up by 1.

I suspect the fanfare of Obama’s speech tomorrow night will leave Americans asking questions. That probably won’t fare well in the polls.

One of my favorite professors, Tom Holbrook from UWM, has charted the bounces from 1964 to 2004. You’ll see John Kerry didn’t exactly set the charts on fire, and George McGovern went negative in 1972. I’m going to put Holbrook’s blog in the roll.
