A note to Fairly Conservative readers

Now that the Anne Kilkenny hysteria has died down (and FactCheck.org is on the job! Thanks for the post, Dean.) I’ll recap. Traffic first started picking up last Tuesday. Friday’s peak had 25,391 page loads with 16,585 unique visitors. Yesterday things calmed down to 3,519 unique visits. I suspect by the time I get home the numbers will show a new level I can expect.

Without doubt, there’s more of a national readership now. That’s why I still plan to spin off Brookfield City News to manage local events. I’ve talked to a couple of others about providing some different local perspective. I may encourage Fairly Conservative as a collaboration. It seems like a good idea at least through the election in November.

I’m glad to see a few of the regulars join in occasionally. I miss you guys!

  1. Well Cindy…as you know, I stumbled in here on accident via the Kilkenny “ordeal”. I can say, it’s been a pleasure though and I look forward to more interaction.

Enjoy what’s left of your vacation.

  2. Hello – I wanted to make a note about the FactCheck.org email summary. I called them, emailed them, and called again this morning. They apologized for what looked to me to be a somewhat misleading summary that referred to the Anne Kilkenny letter as being a source of serious misstatements about Palin. I don’t want to misrepresent them so you might check there page yourself as I understand there are a couple of changes. Thank you.

  3. Dan, I’m sure you’ll be fine. Good to hear from you!
