Obama to open BROOKFIELD campaign office

October 14, 2008 at 12:37 pm --by Cindy · 24 Comments

Groan. Nearly my own backyard. Actually – maybe the old Eddie Z’s?

From the campaign:

Join us for the opening of the Brookfield Obama Campaign for Change office this Friday, October 17th at 4:30pm. Come see our new office, meet the local organizers and other supporters in the community, and then move our excitement into action by talking to voters in our own neighborhoods (canvassing)!

To celebrate our new location, we are going to launch the biggest canvass Menomonee Falls and Brookfield have ever seen! With 21 days until the election we need everyone in our community to come and help us deliver Senator Obama’s message. YOU are the most important part of this campaign and only YOU can make change happen!

As Senator Obama said early on in this election:

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

After canvassing, we will join back up at the office for a potluck!

No prior experience is necessary! Just bring your walking shoes, a friend, a dish or drink to share with everyone, and your story to share with voters!

Gawd! The whole place is going to hell!

    First a Hooters.

    Then new hotels.

    Then prostitution.

    And now …. now Obama!

Before you know it there’ll be a casino coming to town!

All this commotion and still no presidential candidate of consequence in sight!

    Gasp!

Oh boy, Cindy! Watch out…those Dems are INVADING!!!

    *giggles*

Well, it’s just as you told me a while back. The bigger the population gets in the suburbs the more Democratic the community becomes.

The prostitution was already here, as were hotels. There will simply be more now.

I don’t understand “still no presidential candidate of consequence in sight!” though.

Confusing, Q-pac shows you as up 17 points in the latest poll. WI looks to be a lock for you as a battleground state, while others are still in play. Why open an office in the red county of Waukesha with only 22 days to go?

“Why open an office in the red county of Waukesha with only 22 days to go?”

    To round up the dissenters?

“Why open an office in the red county of Waukesha with only 22 days to go?”

Possibly to store ACORN registration forms.
Maybe a mailing address to return absentee ballots from residents of Forest Lawn.

I said, “still no presidential candidate of consequence in sight!”, because I’m not a fan of either candidate. I’m upset that McCain is the GOP candidate. My favored candidate was Rudy Giuliani. I’m still reeling that he lost this whole thing. And now we have John McCain … and his 15 minute wonder Sara Palin. I mean aren’t you even the least bit irritated by it all? Here, just in case the stock money crash that wiped you out wasn’t enough, but think about this …. there’s gonna be all democrats in charge in Congress, Whitehouse, etc. Doesn’t that upset anyone that there’s no balance of power?

I’m not going to think about this stuff anymore. I’m going to contemplate going to Hooters for wings beer and brawds.

I am a card carrying Dem in Brookfield and my cul-de-sac supports Obama in 3 out of 4. You Republicans do not have a lock on Brookfield so stop groaning! Resistance is futile.

  • 9 Kelly // Oct 14, 2008 at 7:25 pm

I agree with K – though my cul-de-sac is 3 out of 4 for McCain. I do my part and help so that more cul-de-sacs in Brookfield are like K’s!!

Gasp! sigh! First new hotels, then more gasps, and now Obama?

  • 11 Randy4sam // Oct 14, 2008 at 8:25 pm

You would think the Obama campaign could at least use a quote attributable to their candidate for the opening of a new office. But alas, a phony candidate begots a phony campaign.

But then there’s this. My favorite from the article? When Obama filches hardly anyone notices.

Evidently he’s not big on original content.

  • 13 Randy4sam // Oct 14, 2008 at 8:53 pm

At least the Hooters was up front about their message.

  • 14 Cindy Kilkenny // Oct 14, 2008 at 8:56 pm

Ok, I laughed. “Up front” *giggle*

I don’t understand how it is that as more and more corruption about Obummer is made public there isn’t much of an outcry. The liberal supporters of this crook just say “It’s partisan lies” and never address the underlying charges. Of course the MSM is keeping most of it under wraps, and the average person doesn’t have the brains to find their news on anything but the MSM. We are going to pay dearly for our apathy, and those who back this gang of thieves are going to wake up to find things didn’t change the way they thought they would…unless they are socialistic and don’t mind a dictatorship!

  • 16 Anonymous // Oct 15, 2008 at 11:02 am

Grant is right. Did you read about the interviews of Obama supporters where McCain’s views were substituted for Obama’s but Obama’s supporters didn’t know the difference.
    Holy Stupidity!

  • 17 Dan H // Oct 15, 2008 at 11:05 am

Cindy, thanks for the link, I always knew Barack was a closet lesbo!

  • 18 Dan H // Oct 15, 2008 at 11:08 am

    Hey Anon,

I’ve run into this with a few of my peers who are “proBama”. When I ask why they are voting for him inevitably its “because Palin is an idiot who was the mayor of a town smaller than my high school” or because “McCain is just George Bush all over again”. No one ever substantiates their support for Barack with any thing concrete. People don’t know Barack’s policies (read ‘false promises’). I don’t think Barack even knows his policies.

  • 19 Anonymous // Oct 15, 2008 at 11:20 am

    Dan H

With the holidays suddenly approaching the closet analogy to Obama’s policies is that they are about the same as those Santa Claus has to offer. Gifts for everyone!

  • 20 Cindy Kilkenny // Oct 15, 2008 at 11:37 am

Dang, Dan, you got that from the link? Maybe I should read it again…

  • 21 Dan H // Oct 15, 2008 at 12:08 pm

Right on, except everybody seems to be missing the fact that Santa Claus is not real, and somebody somewhere is paying for those gifts.

  • 22 Anonymous // Oct 15, 2008 at 12:42 pm

    K-

Card carrying dems in Brookfield are people that have money, for now, and think they always will no matter what the economic conditions are. They think that money will isolate them from the effects of tax increases and job downturns but it won’t and that wealth will be a target for the socialists they support. The bigger they are…

  • 23 Grant // Oct 15, 2008 at 1:14 pm

I think it’s significant that K refers to himself as “a card-carrying member”. That has an ominous sound to it!

  • 24 Cindy Kilkenny // Oct 15, 2008 at 1:18 pm

I always thought of “K” as a her.
