Fairly Conservative turns 1

You say it’s your birthday?

  1. Randy in Richmond says:

First of all–HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Interestingly enough just last month I had a friend who turned 50 and I decided to send him a ‘happy birthday’ email at his office. I figured there would be hundreds of different recordings by an assortment of artists to pick from so I searched the normal engines and looked on You Tube. To my surprise there are only a handful of recordings of the traditional song–the famous one when Marilyn Monroe sang to JFK, one where Mariah Carey sang it to Mohamed Ali, and another quick version sung by the Beatles (not the one you use above). I’m sure they are out there but they are few and far between. I assume this is one instance where the copyright law is being strictly enforced by the song’s present owner: Summy-Birchard Music, a part of AOL.

  2. Randy in Richmond says:

We now know Barack Obama’s nominee for Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner, chose not to pay his fair share of Federal income taxes until nominated for the position. For this reason Obama should retract his nomination. A prominent member of the Obama administration, Joe Biden, likened not paying your taxes to being unpatriotic and we certaintly don’t want someone unpatriotic this high up in the Government, especially in the position overseeing the IRS.
Boy, this transition is going so smooth. Those that voted for Obama saying his questionable assosciations make no difference–this is only the beginning. I repeat–those leopard spots don’t change or go away just because of an election.

  3. Happy B-day!

The video? No comment.. except, are there any anniversary videos out there?

  4. Wilson828 says:

  7. Yes, I’m a day late, but happy blogiversary.
