Information porn

I’ve never heard it described exactly like that, but I sure get the concept when those two words are used!

Backtrack. I was reading this neat article on creativity that Todd Lohenry had posted to his Facebook page. Some of the concepts, particularly living in the here and now, are ones I already practice. Then I read this:

Information. Are you addicted to info porn? Who’s dictating what you should think, you or the media? Consciously decide the input you accept and discard that which doesn’t serve you.

This bullet links to a story on reversing some bad habits on news gathering.

I can do that.

The article on creativity is really a great starting point for some weekend thinking.

Step 1. Take the weekend off.

I recommend you do the same.

    I liked the related post on thinking & doing: an effective division of labor. Especially the reminder that “unfinished thinking has consequences”. Also the use of the word “insiduous” in the post.
