Trashing America

I still can’t get over this!

  1. Yeah, that’s just about as disappointing as the moment when folks booed George W. Bush during the inauguration. Whether you like him or not, the inauguration isn’t the time to boo him. I was disappointed then that folks didn’t show a little more class, and I’m disappointed now that folks couldn’t have done a better job of taking their trash with them when they left.

  2. Scary stuff, Zach. Is there a big group hug in our future? 🙂

Where America was the land of the free and the home of the brave, this new “Americool” is the land of the low-class.

I wonder what impact these images have on global impressions?

ps. Cindy, did you get your T-shirt (Don’t blame me, I voted for McCain)?

  4. I think people just figured that by throwing all their sh*t on the ground, someone ELSE would have to pick it up – for a price of course. Instant job creation and an end to all of our economic woes.

  5. No T-shirt. Long story. The youngest said she saw one at the mall, though. Much closer to home!

I think it’s going to be a real challenge for BO to take his what’s-in-it-for-me followers and get them to pick up after themselves. Sorry, but it’s not in their nature.

    Did anyone see this?

  6. Randy in Richmond says:

I don’t know why anyone is concerned about this. The clean up was included in the 150+ million dollars allocated for the inauguration.

  7. Tinkerbell says:

The “Post Inauguration Anarchy” blog should be read by all. This aftermath seems to rival that of a National Disaster.

  8. Doesn’t surprise me a bit.

It happens when large groups of people amass. The masses are asses.
