Oh, NOW I feel safer. NOT!

Out of London:

The Taliban told U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday that his plan to close Guantanamo Bay prison camp was a “positive step” but peace was only possible if he withdraws U.S. forces from Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Taliban thinks it’s a good idea to close Gitmo. Dang! That’s got to make anyone want to break out in song.

  1. Excellent reason NOT to close it!

  2. …beep….beep….beep…beep……Moron alert!

Remember when President Bush was in Beijing and after a press conference he went to exit through a door that was locked. It was a comical moment and the President laughed at himself. The MSM showed it repeatedly and the talk shows crucified Bush while repeatedly showing the event.
On Tuesday President Obama tried to re-enter the White House through a window. No big deal, just laugh and continue on. But let’s see if the MSM or the talk shows try to embarrass the current President as they did the former. So far I’ve seen nothing on this, have any of you?
This parallels David Letterman “retiring” his Great Moments in Presidential Speeches which was shown with the singular purpose of embarrassing the President. If I wasn’t so illiterate I would understand this.

  4. Through a window? I need backup for that one.

Randy, Thanks for sharing. Wonder if Obama set off any alarms? If security responded? How much this might have caused the taxpayers?

What a biased publication. Obama’s mistaking a window for a door… at his own home dismissed as a “rookie mistake”? While Bush trying to open a door in Beijing is comical? The premise is that Bush should be more intimately familiar with which doors are kept locked in Beijing, than Obama should be with basic concepts like distiguishing windows from doors?!

Possibly the only way that MSM can publicize Obamian gaffs is by accompanying them with words meant to soothe. On the plus side we now know what he did and how they feel about it… which is better than not knowing at all.

  7. Nice job grabbing the link, Randy.

I have a very inappropriate comment at the tips of my fingers, but I’ll be good. I’m sure Obama doesn’t need any more ribbing from a li’l ol’ nobody like me.

  8. I thought he could pass thru objects !?

  9. Keng, that’s funny. It’s always good to hear from you.

  10. We already know what you were gonna say, Cin.
