Doyle surveys the state of Wisconsin

Ooh! Give me more of your money to mismanage! (Ok, maybe that’s not exactly what he said.) You can read the lifeless babble on your own.

  1. I’d say you pretty much summed it up.

  2. Tinkerbell says:

It was interesting to see Doyle on TV after the nightly news. He is so obviously adopting Obamian speech patterns and body language.

  3. i thought he did well, especially like his budget mantra ” keeping what you have is the new increase”

  4. J. Strupp says:

It’s simply amazing how morons like this guy get elected…….and then re-elected.

  5. Tinkerbell says:

@kcr: I would think that aptly applied, the mantra would mean gov’t employees ought not look forward to raises. This would include school teachers, administrators, super’s. If “keeping what you have is the new increase”, gov’t would ensure taxpayers get to keep what they have. This mantra is counter to the redistributionist stance which got Obama elected and which we see in the “stimulus” package. So it appears we are are to receive one thing and call it another?

Much like Nancy Pelosi’s interview with GeorgeS last weekend. When he asked about nationalizing the banks, she coyly replied, well yes but not by that terminology, perhaps we could call it an investment!

Welcome to Spin City. What happens in Spin City stays in Spin City… because we speak in coded, politically-correct opposites here.

  6. Doyle, in his mind, is just an innocent bystander. He’s been governor for quite awhile now and if he was a good manager should have been decreasing the budget deficits each year working towards a balanced budget. (i.e. not a budget balanced by robbing funds allocated for other purposes). Quite the achiever, WI is among the highest in taxes, fees, and now deficits. His next major speech will be about tax and fee increases, and new taxes and fees. In a year or so he will be running for reelection as the savior of the state.

P.S. I especially liked this part of the evening when Doyle says something to the effect – let’s stand up and applaud the girl in the gallery who is pregnant before graduation because we can provide her with Badger Care!
