Elmbrook board meeting tonight

Here’s the published agenda. The board will bond $31,190,000 tonight, but documents aren’t available for us regular folks. We’ll find out tomorrow how much it costs us.

There are the calendar changes we talked about yesterday. And get those travel plans ready – here’s the 2009-2010 calendar. I’m already shooting for the post-Christmas travel week. Score!

There are a couple of other things you might want to check out. H G & D plans, for one. Also, planned for February 24th’s agenda is an attachment – that means more taxable area and students for the district. I’ve been told I can see the document, but haven’t made it to CAO yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another plan by a developer to get a few of his lots from The Shire subdivision out of Waukesha and into Elmbrook. I’ll let you know when I find out.

  1. I see that school would begin before Labor Day. Do they need special permission for that? I thought at one time, you did.

  2. They cannot start before Sept 1st. Before Labor Day is fine

  3. Sure enough. I recall these goofy three day weekends after the first week of school before.

If I remember, the September 1 mandate went in about 2000?
