North Korea pardons two journalist captives because Bill Clinton showed up?

Really – that’s the way it’s reading. North Korea wanted a “high-level emissary” to show up with a little respect, and poof. Everything is fine.

I keep turning this over in my mind, and all I can come up with are questions. Why Bill? Does it overshadow Hillary’s role? Does it mock Obama? I’m lost, but international relations was my only B- in college, so I guess it’s to be expected.

Please, if you have any insight, let me know.

It is great to know two Americans will be headed home soon from a very scary situation.

Here’s how I see it. Kim Jong Il wanted to be able to show his people that they forced Clinton to come and ‘negotiate’ for the release of the prisoners. International Relations is just a fancy way of saying Public Relations.
