Go “spread some lies and stir up fear!”

I wanted to send you an urgent invitation to an important health reform meeting with Rep. Gwen Moore tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, August 11th). She’ll be talking to constituents and gathering feedback — this is an ideal opportunity to make sure your support for health insurance reform is seen and heard at exactly the right time.

Our congressional representatives are back home this month, and they’re facing more and more pressure from special interests on health insurance reform. It’s critical that we get out there and show them where we stand.

I hope you can join us.

What: Health Reform Meeting with
Rep. Gwen Moore

Where: North Division High School
1011 W Center St.
Milwaukee, WI 53206

When: Tuesday, August 11th
Arrival Time: 3:00 p.m.
Start Time: 4:00 p.m.

Our representatives are under attack by Washington insiders, insurance companies, and well-financed special interests who don’t go a day without spreading lies and stirring up fear. We need to show that we’re sick and tired of it, and that we’re ready for real change, this year.

Please come to the meeting, and make sure that the most powerful voices in this debate are those calling for real reform, not angrily clamoring for the status quo.

I can’t make it, but I hope some like minded people can!

But there will be lots of black people there… tread lightly, whiteys.

Yeah, 10th and Center is where I wanna go and voice any discontent I may have. Great – I’ll be surrounded with like minded fiscal conservatives who believe in hard work and are law abiding. Great plan … great location!

  4. Have you been to 10th & Center lately? If you think Brookfield is a dangerous place to live you may want take your Glock and vest for this one.
Leave the plastic at home. I thought North Division HS was closed years ago.

  5. Actually, I venture that way every once in a while for some church stuff, but I know to go alert and prepared. I’m a guest in their neighborhood and I behave like one.

Too bad the mindset doesn’t work both ways.

  6. I heard on the radio this morning getting ready for work that Gwen will be holding a session where she talks and there may be time for a question or two at the end.

  7. You have to be from her district to attend. So isnt it ironic that she might be checking IDs at the door, yet she was so opposed to photo id for voting, ha.

    Good luck all who go.

    Dave

  8. Dave – that’s really funny news!

  9. The Lorax says:

Not sure that’s news. Where did you hear that you have to be from her district?

  10. Lorax,

Its on HER OFFICIAL WEBSITE, that residents of the 4th district are invited to attend.

How are they going to enforce this? Will they be checking ids??

    Dave

  11. The Lorax says:

No they won’t. Report came out today that most of the people going to these things are out-of-district. You invite your constituents, but you never bar others from showing up.

Have you actually ever been to one of these things? I have. For Sensenbrenner, Moore, and Feingold. People pop in. I want to tell Moore to fight extra hard for Health care because my Rep. is Senslessbrenner and he won’t be for it.
