Monday, Monday

Courtesy the Mamas and the Papas:

This Monday is being spent recovering from the weekend. The youngest started with a round of school activities this morning. Yes, it’s that time before we know it.

I can’t find much happening around Brookfield. If you know of anything, by all means, share.

Nationally I suppose we’re all on pins and needles to see if the President has a nice vacation. I’m ok with ignoring the guy for a week. You all in?

So, why don’t you all let me know how you spent your summer vacations. I tell you everything. Time to share back a bit.

  1. Randy in Richmond says:

In July I took an unexpected trip across the pond to Ireland. Did the usual touristy things including going to Castle Blarney and kissing the stone. But one highlight was a gleeful surprise. One of my hosts had heard my dream of being James Bond, as seen in the early Bond movies, and driving a gray Bentley across the twisty rural roads of the UK. She made this happen as I needed to travel from the east to the west coast (Dublin to Castlebar) to attend a function. The left lane driving and signs in kilometers were a challange but I fulfilled my dream in a 1995 Bentley Azure convertible. I kept my eyes out for Goldfinger and Oddjob as I passed through the beautiful countryside that is a green seen nowhere else. It was the trip of a lifetime.

  2. Well it’s going to be a little hard to top that one, eh folks?

  3. Really Cindy?

  4. Really Dan.

  5. The Lorax says:

I love the Mamas and the Papas.

I worked, and went to Minneapolis for fun, and Birmingham for Forensics. And I moved into a new apartment.

Not earth-shattering, but very busy and somewhat stressful!

  6. Ah, how many times did I hear that song in high school? That and “Rainy days and Mondays get me down.”
