Pooh Paw All You Want

As I stated here when Obama was elected, I felt it was an anomaly that Virginia went for him by 57% to 43%. Many voted for the man, not knowing or not caring about his beliefs and agenda. But most of all they voted for the anti-Bush platform that the Democrats are slowly realizing is pretty much over. Bob McDonnell (R) winning the race is not an anomaly but him winning in a landslide probably is. Want to see a red state-go here:

What won’t be in the national media is more telling. The Lt. Governor and Attorney General each won by a similar margin. And because of Obama’s big win there was talk the Democrats might make inroads into the Republican’s majority in the state House. Instead 7 Democratic Delegates, 5 elected in 2007 and 2 in 2005, were defeated and the Republicans gained 5 seats. These defeated Delegates essentially rode the anti-Bush fever to be elected. This is where the rubber meets the road and should be good news in Virginia for the Republicans. For those of us on the right this will hopefully be repeated in many of the purple states.

  1. You know what I think: Many voted for Obama to prove to themselves they weren’t racist.

Glad to see you’re getting your state back. Cross your fingers for Wisconsin in 2010.
