Umm, Umm, Good

I hardly ever read the news blurbs that are posted on my email home page. Tonight I read this:

“Lord Stern of Brentford, former adviser to the government on the economics of climate change, said people will have to consider turning vegetarian to help reduce global carbon emissions.

“Meat is a wasteful use of water and creates a lot of greenhouse gases. It puts enormous pressure on the world’s resources. A vegetarian diet is better,” Stern said.”

I just did my part–cooked steak on the grill and (burp), had ice cream for dessert.

  1. That’s twice you’ve mentioned the grill! It is 12 degrees here, and that represents a warming trend.

  2. Randy in Richmond says:

Actually it’s cold here but not as cold as you have. I used the ‘run out and look and back in the house’ method to cook the steaks. It may get to the teens only once or twice a year here. 12 degrees in mid-December-wow.
