Schellinger enters 98th Assembly race

Tom Schellinger, a Waukesha County supervisor and former Brookfield alderman, has filed to run against Paul Farrow for the 98th Assembly seat in the Republican side of the primary ticket. Democrat Victor Weers has also filed.

Here’s the final report from the elections board.

Rich Zipperer and Tim Dietrich are the only two to file for the 33rd district Senate seat Ted Kanavas is vacating. Both are listed as Republicans, so that race will be decided in the September primary.

No doubt Farrow and Zipperer will prevail. I will surprise you all by saying this time I’m glad Schellinger has his name on the ballot. There’s nothing wrong with making Farrow work for it.
