Turnover stinks

No, really. Drive by any lake at the wrong time of the year, and you’ll smell it.

We’re about to see the same thing in politics. We’ve known it was coming nationally, but I think we’re about to see an unexpected turnover in Wisconsin. It’s not going to be pretty. It’s going to stink. People will stay away for a while until they think it’s safe to come back.

And then they’ll be back.

Just like the lake, political turnover is an important part of the ecosystem. Embrace it for what it is, and before you know it, the fishing will be good.

Yes, most Republicans are burned on the concept of change. But sometimes the unexpected isn’t as bad as it seems.

  1. And it’s heartening that the sludge and silt that rises during turnover will eventually sink back to the bottom from whence it came.

  2. Oh Grumps! I have to say, that’s a pretty clever statement. I don’t like it, but it’s clever.

And consider for a moment the sludge is sinking now. 🙂
