Anticipating the blogging year end

If I were a really good blogger I’d attempt some of these excellent recommendations. Alas, I am a fair-weather blogger and can’t be bothered. What I really need to do is find a hosting company that doesn’t slow down at certain times of the day, but then I’d have to migrate everything, and that would be work, too.

So, Fairly Conservative is finishing its third year. There’s still a lawsuit (Trial is scheduled for the end of March. I can’t wait to prove the statements with the stacks of DNR documents I now possess.); my self-imposed exile didn’t last very long; there are a few extra writers that show up sometimes.

About that: Randy in Richmond is still on holiday (lucky duck) and William has had something come up where he needs one less diversion, so unless Ryan shows up again (hint, hint) you are stuck with me for a while.

Which brings me back to the beginning. We have what I would call a comfortable relationship here. Every once in a while something comes up that’s worth debating, but mostly we’re just hanging out. It’s not such a bad thing. You get to know what I’m thinking, and if you see need, you share with me what’s on your mind. Of course traffic has dipped a bit with the holidays, but for the most part it’s steady, so I know you’re still out there. If you have anything you’d like to see new, let me know. I’m anticipating things will move into a redesign about April or so. If I keep it up. If you keep reading.

I guess there are a few ifs to consider.

So, I’ll get back to the game in a week or so. It’s hit or miss until then. I can be found by e-mail if you really need me. You are instructed to enjoy the rest of this year. 🙂

  1. Have a great rest of 2010 and much good health, joy and prosperity to you and yours in 2011!!!

  2. I’m still here. Things have been a bit crazy lately…. but you will definitely hear from me (probably more than you want) in 2011. 🙂

  3. Have a great rest of the year Cindy, and I look forward to seeing you back in action come 2011.

  4. let’s not do a redesign in 2011 … do a topic of the week .. do a political debate .. but your site is super easy to read and enjoy …. (pinching your cheek gently .. ) let’s not ruin a good thing…’k?

On another note … we drove up to Door County yesterday afternoon for a few days… back home tho for new years… beautiful here… it really is.. so nice.

I’m starting to play with Twitter. I don’t know why. I think it’s sorta stupid. But it’s the Xmas week .. and things are usually slow. When I had young kids … the week was an important week of family – now .. it’s a week to while away time until work resumes after new years. And i’m sorta enjoying the easy banter .. since Monday .. I have 4 followers!!! Whoohoo!!! Anyway… am using an alias .. may change it to my real name .. we’ll see ….

About that lawsuit … at one time I thought .. well.. just bail out on it … now I think differently. The guy is a mean vindictive asshole. Rip his face off and go for broke.

Also … recently discovered (in Nov) PS23 .. the new restaurant at Pilgrim and North Avenue. It’s not pricey with fairly good food and good service…. from a single visit. Maybe sometime we can meet with spouses for dinner there… smile

okay .. onward… there is door county stuff to do… and more….

  5. Silly Wilson828. You never have been a fan of changing the blog, have you? If I do anything, I’ll make sure it’s very similar. I’ve always been pleased with the simplicity, too.

About that lawsuit…you are a hoot. I basically had the same discussion with my attorneys yesterday. 🙂 I am very comfortable with the facts supporting the case. I bet I win. Then I can move to the next step in the plan.

Yes, we can put dinner on the list some day. Glad you like it. Maybe Ryan should go and do a review. (hint, hint) He’s been mentioning he’d like to start doing something like that.
