Just Another Day- Almost

I’ll admit I take it for granted. Maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Today the people’s house changed hands. Our elected Representatives took their seats in the United States Congress in a peaceful and respectful manner with no guns brandished or fired. No matter their ideology, beliefs, leanings, or differences, the orderly change of government occured rather routinely. This is quiet testimony to our founders that these many years later our system of government is still functional and arguably the best in the world. It’s still a work in progress and is far from perfect.

No matter which way we lean in the political spectrum today we can each be thankful that we change leadership with the ballot and not the bullet.
