CNN Aims for High Caliber of Reporting

Last night CNN pulled the trigger on one of it’s guests and apologized for the caliber of a comment he made:

The video shot of the guest was a discussion aimed at a candidate for Mayor in Chicago. In this short clip the guest unloaded his remarks, including use of the phrase “in the crosshairs”. CNN considered reshooting the interview but in trying not to conceal anything, and then trigger the automatic critism one might expect, they made a public apology.

This leads me to ask if reruns or flashbacks from the long running show “Crossfire” will be pulled from being shown on CNN and if they still intend to cover the upcoming Presidential campaign.

  2. Randy in Richmond says:

Rumor has it that Larry King was seen entering a Target store shortly before he retired. Still trying to confirm…

  3. ‘Blown away’ by this blog, Cindy. You make your point well- I chuckled all the way through it.

  4. It was Randy again! He’s the clever one. I’m a bit of a bump on the log lately.

  5. Oops, sorry, RinR. My eyesight and iPhone combo doesn’t always register the author byline. Thanks for the chuckle this morning.
