Yes! Bill to be separated in order to pass.

According to WISC-TV:

A source confirmed to WISC-TV that Republican senators intend to remove fiscal portions of the budget bill in order to pass it without Democratic senators.

Exactly what I’ve been saying.

  1. I didn’t want it to come to this, but at this point, it is the right thing to do. You can only wait for the absent Senators for so long.

If they Dems are still out of state and this passes, then will they come back and vote on the financial measures? I would think to be consistent they would have to, right? After all, they don’t oppose any of the benefit cuts, so there’s nothing left to be against, right?

  2. It passes 18 – 1. Senator Schultz votes no.

Agree or disagree about the bill but one thing is certain. The GOP are a bunch of morons when it comes to “selling” it. They screwed this up from the beginning. Nice job yesterday!

  14. I must say the timing was interesting. I’ll also so the union must have really overplayed their hand with that last talking point.
