Brookfield wasn’t recorded!

  1. BrkfldDad says:

I’m speechless. How could 7k+ votes for Prosser, plus his opponent’s votes not be transmitted and no one notices.

  2. 🙂 Someone noticed.

  3. Hey, that’s why pencils have erasers and flamethrowers all have that “Undo” button.

  4. Randy in Richmond says:

Does that mean it wasn’t sent in or wasn’t added after being sent in ?

  5. It was sent but not saved.

  6. Randy, the vote totals were sent from the city to the county clerk office. They were mistakenly excluded from the county report to the media.
The discrepancy was found the next day during the official canvass of vote totals prior to sending the totals to the state.
The process worked but not everyone will be happy with the process.
The difference was initially easy to overlook because of the historic turnout for the election. If the normal 20% would have been the turnout I would guess that the discrepancy would have been noticed prior to the report to the media.

  7. J. Strupp says:

Let this be a lesson to not waste your career prosecuting people for how they want to build their docks. That was reason enough to vote for Prosser in my mind.

  8. Jim, that’s a much better accounting of what happened. Thanks.

I will make mention of our own wunderkind, who called it early.

  9. Randy in Richmond says:

    Thank you for the explanation.
