Allahu akbar….God is Great

If you watch or read the MSM you may not have heard about AA Flight 1561 from Chicago to San Francisco. It was on this flight that Rageh Ahmed Mohammed al-Murisi began yelling Allahu akbar as he rushed the cockpit door several times. Alert and brave passengers subdued al-Murisi and held him down until the plane made an emergency landing. My last memory of the phrase Allahu akbar was when Nidal Malik Hasan recited it as he killed 13 people at Fort Hood. No wait, it was when Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad was sentenced to life imprisonment for his attempted bombing. It was also uttered at Shanksville, Pa. on 9/11 and by the Christmas bomber over Detroit.

al-Murisi has been denied bail and is being held in jail in San Francisco.

But the real story here is our Homeland Security–or lack thereof. al-Murisi is from Yemen, yes that Yemen. He had no keys, no luggage, $47 cash, two posted checks totaling $13,000, and a bundle of expired and current state IDs from New York and California. He is a male, no apparent job, and was traveling alone. He purchased a one-way ticket.

Why is Yemen special ? It is on a short list of countries designated “special” by our State Department and should get extra scrutiny by Homeland Security.

This was a flight that those of you in Wisconsin who were heading west could have been aboard.
