RNC calls for fundraising investigation

From GOP.com:

A fundraising video featuring the President appears to have been recorded in the Map Room which is not part of the White House residence, but rather “occupied in the discharge of official duties.” According to federal law, it is a crime for the President of the United States to solicit political contributions in a place of official government business.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Yes, if the President fundraised on a place of government business, it’s a problem. But it looks like that technically, the President had a video from that official place in his fundraising.

Listen, there are dozens of reasons Barack Obama should not have four more years in the White House. Is it possible we could just stick to the knitting?

Cindy. the most publicized international story right now is the Murdoch incident/s and the downfall of Scotland Yard, admired by even James Bond. this is real. there are no opinions or speculation . just the facts ma’m (sgt. joe friday). yet it is overplayed by sound bites and politics as usual. this is a financial empire equal or in excess of dupont, rockefeller and even Citizen Kane ( alias Orson Welles).and……….not even a one liner. on a smaller scale former Waukesha County Exec fails to pay his debt/s and former Milw county head of mental facilities gets a new life from the same govt. institution he scammed. the RM scandal goes way back and has touched many people , otherwise considered honest. the fact is that wiretapping is a federal crime, a breach of privacy, a threat to our security and an insult to the public who read that xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. those methods have been used by the enemies of the USA . What say you guys ?

You may know something I don’t–has it been shown or alleged that any wiretapping took place in the US ?

And you are right about the size of this scandal. It is being reported that the stock loss for Murdoch’s company thus far is around 8 billion dollars.

  3. proof of wiretapping in the US ! as mr. murdoch jr. exclaimed before a parliament committee today on every TV news station: i say no now but may say yes later; i have no knowledge of who made the decisions; my father may know more than me; l’ll get back to you later on that. not verbatim but close. Sherlock Holmes would have a clue given 4,000 celebs hacked, a mystery death of the whistleblower and arrest of a CEO. not to mention Scotland Yard sitting on bags of evidence for 4 years.

  4. Randy in Richmond says:

Then I guess you have no evidence of a US involvement as of yet.

  5. Randy. with me you need not guess. i am not an investigator or researcher of blogging information. neither do i gather evidence to show beyond a reasonable doubt what i have learned . my point was not received anyway so be it. after hearing a news story on any given station, TV or otherwise, i then use my own analysis to determine the veracity of the information. i do not listen to attorneys giving legal opinions on the air because it is hot air. i do not listen to pure partisan vewpoints because it is hot air. i do not accept statements of other bloggers as the gospel, the same as you do not mine, the news game today is not show me the evidence but how much money will the story make for them. of course we have to believe something to be normal. chicken little thought there was evidence the sky was falling ! kids still believe in santa claus, the easter bunny and now harry potter.
