Some guy in Libya died

…and suddenly the world is talking of little else.

If you are the praying type, be sure to add the Middle East. It’s still so unsettled in that region. Everyone deserves a little peace in their lifetime.

My schedule is being set by a pair of puppies. Thank goodness it’s not a pair of babies. But, this is fair warning that until real news comes to light, I might not be digging to make much up.

Statewide there is much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth over not much. Toll roads are getting some print. Education is the thing Scott Walker Is Ruining This Week. Really, though, there’s little in state news right now, and that kind of bugs me.

I know in general no news is supposed to be good news, but it’s a little too quiet.

Perhaps we are in a post-baseball funk. That combined with the blechy weather means it’s a bit of a lackluster week. I’ll be dining with George Will tonight. Don’t worry, he won’t have a clue I’m there. These annual events are usually held in the library and that’s always made it one of my favorites. The Pfister is just The Pfister, plus there are no librarian picks to peruse if I get bored. 🙁

As always, leave a note if there’s something you want to talk about.

  1. J. Strupp says:

Where’d your people stash Obama’s podium and teleprompter Randy?

  2. the story line i get is that the UN was successful and the US did not lose men or face. Pres. Wilson started the League of Nations , it struggled, and now it is working.

  3. I’m sorry, but Randy is sworn to secrecy on that on, J. Strupp. You’ll never get it out of him. 🙂

  4. Randy in Richmond says:

Can’t blog now–listening to some new sound equipment.

  5. J. Strupp says:

I always knew you were a huge fan of Obama’s teleprompter.

  6. Anonymous Politico says:

My guess is that the teleprompter has been kidnapped and taken to an undisclosed location in Tehran. I imagine that will be the impetus to bomb and invade Iran. Now that we’re done with Libya, that would be the next logical step.

  7. Via Syria. Wish I were kidding.

  8. Anonymous Politico says:

    True. Syria is probably next.

I will say that if it does get to a point where we “need” to go into Iran to find the teleprompter, my guess is that it won’t be found after an extensive search.

  9. does anyone believe that all in all the influence of the USA over the years for democracy has caused a revolution of sorts for other countries under a dictator are now rebelling ? it looks like the 1st amendment is an inspiration. one more. why are some people here from all political and social beliefs vent our system of government ? one more. why do some people here insist on being nasty about people in higher places in our society ?
