Search Walker recall signatures by zip code

I’ve already scoped out Brookfield for you. Go see what else you can find.

  1. jimspice says:

I did a search for my street in my zip and recognized 14 neighbors’ names on the list. Ten names were mis-spelled. TEN! Of FOURTEEN! That’s a 71% error rate!

  2. Yeah, some of the typos are pretty funny.

Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller’s name is misspelled.

There are plenty of typos in the addresses, too. Former Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz signed the petition, but you wouldn’t know it if you just searched for his street name.

There are definitely some people I know of who support the recall efforts, but did not sign the petition–both my own family members as well as Democratic politicians. For example, Mark Pocan did not manage to sign the petition, at least as far as I can tell.

  3. BrkfldDad says:

Pretty amazing the number of college age students I know who go to school out of state but managed to sign the recall.

  4. I f0und mine-I’m going to print it out and frame it! 🙂

  5. I hope they post one that is searchable by something other than zip code. There is too many zip codes in my town to be able to search for people.

  6. Good luck finding a hobby that’s easy enough and still satisfying for you, Jerry

  7. Jerry, you are in luck. The Verify the Recall database is going live Wednesday according to the email I received this morning.

  8. Jeeez, thanks Grumps! For my hobby, I’m thinking of taking up ‘Ignoring sarcastic, unhelpful posts’ ….. or gardening. Not sure which yet.

I live in a city where it’s OK to post lists of people who donated $20 or more to Walkers campaign, so they can be harassed or their businesses boycotted. But I shouldn’t quietly check the list to see which of my friends/coworkers/neighbors felt strongly enough about this to sign?

BTW, thanks Cindy for the useful info.

  9. use “ctrl” f and the next button, will quicken your search dramatically. 😉

  10. I didn’t find my name, nor anyone on my street. Odd.

  12. Found Mine!
I will be framing it proudly.

  13. Make sure your employer knows about the searchable by name site.
