Useless housewife babble

This is the time of year where God decorates. As I sit in my favorite location I realize it never gets better than this.

Since I chose to buy a house with “a lovely wooded area” (Realtor talk. But yes.) next to my home every window frames a painting that takes my breath away.

And President Obama can’t find anything better to talk about than Big Bird.

How can the average Fairly Conservative housewife help but be happy?

  1. Randy in Richmond says:

The Dems – rooting for and rejected by – Big Bird, shunned by the AARP, ads about a dog on a roof (in 1983), and another ad on a trashman wanting a hug.

“if you don’t have a record to run on, you make a big election about small things”.

I’m still researching who made that statement , Ryan.

Maybe you know who said this,

“If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.”

  2. I love your assessment of fall, ‘where God decorates’. How true!

But with this unseasonable, cold weather this October, peak color is slipping away.

Here is what I found: Drove to Terry Andre last week–colors outstanding on a sunshiny day. Camped at Devil’s Lake last weekend (brrr)–colors were glorious on sunny Thurs & Fri, but after an overcast and very windy Sat, leaves started to come down. Colors lost a little something and some trees bare by Sunday.

  3. Is it just me or are the reds more intense this year?
