A Little Levity

Here’s a little less seriousness regarding the political scene. This headline points out the cost of Ann Romney’s dress that she wore to the recent debate. How dare her.  $1690 for a dress. Then I read the article which includes this statement:

“Obama, 48, styled a shift dress and cropped jacket from Michael Kors’ 2013 resort collection. The dress retails for $1,795 and the jacket is $1,495,”.

So Michelle Obama is wearing an outfit that costs $3290 but Ann Romney’s outfit, that is slightly more than 1/2 the cost of Michelle’s outfit  gets the headline.

But I’m not really surprised. I remember 2008 when this nice cover was displayed on US Weekly

But then US Weekly came out with another Cover.

Some things never change.

……………….A Post by Randy in Richmond……………….

  1. Oh, gag. I mean thanks for this one, Randy, but dang. Sometimes I’m so disgusted with this stuff.

Just keep chanting to yourself that they make money when they keep you hacked off.

  2. Randy in Richmond says:

No, I don’t watch the View.

When I read that Ann Romney was going to appear on the View my first reaction was to think it a bad idea–that nothing good could come from it. I was wrong.

She was able to, with 4 words, make Whoopi Goldberg look like a total freaking elitest idiot for asking a gotcha question that could have been circumvented with a 1 minute search. It went like this:

Goldberg: As first lady — if you get the job — it’s going to entail a lot of things. And one of those things is going to be talking to the mothers whose children are coming home in bags, ya know… uh, from wars. Now I know, I believe that your religion doesn’t allow you to go fight…

    Romney: No, that’s not correct

    Goldberg: Ok, so…

Romney: We have many, many members of our faith that are serving in the armed services.

    Goldberg: Ok, umm…

This really screwed Whoopi up because it ruined her follow-up question on handling snakes. Too bad Candy Crowley wasn’t there to explain what Whoopi really meant to say.

  3. I was at my moms one day when they had the view on. I found it pretty sick. Behar is one nasty person. I also lost all respect for Whoopie. Just sick. As to the bias, sad to say, so used to it my first thought is, why is anyone surprised?
