Fairly Conservative

Yes, I know McCain and Palin are headed to Waukesha today. I’ve blogged a lot of McCain’s visits while we were getting to know him. Now they say all the same things over and over again, and I’m frankly much less interested.

Plus, I have an appointment for the heating and air company to come do some work on the furnace. In Wisconsin it’s harder to get a repair person to the house than it is to catch some face time with a presidential candidate. I’m not going to give up the appointment up since it’s been on the calender well before the visit was announced.

Did you see it? The headline in the MJS for the Hooter’s article was darn funny. I figure since they used the Hooter’s logo in the name of news, I can pop the headline up for you. It’s not likely to show up in the online copy. (The circles around the owl’s eyes are Hooter’s orange in the paper.)

I know these copy editors are having a great time with Brookfield’s jump into the big time. They laugh at our local government anyway. No doubt our new restaurant announcement is foam on the beer for them.

The market is selling into the futures rally. It looks like we’re in for another stinky day. But the sun is shining and the house is clean, so I’ll be making the best of it.
