This happens all the time where I live, but I’m not sure I’ve seen anything quite this gutsy.
Pipito opened Club Porticello without the required zoning variances and occupancy permit.
The Oconomowoc Lake restaurant got their way.
Approval by the board of the zoning variances will allow Pipito to get a city occupancy permit so he can have his restaurant and bar open for business in compliance with city and county ordinances.
I know the man spent a lot of money to put his business in place, but why have laws if they can be rewritten after the fact? What did this guy do? Threaten to hold his breath?
Heck, if he’d come to Brookfield we’d even pay him back $9,000 for his liquor license.

He is not out of the woods yet. This also violates State and DNR law/codes. Too close to a public lake and on too narrow of a strip of lake access land. When city gives in I bet they come after him.
