Either two great minds think a lot alike, or Elmbrook school district is having some fun.
You see, this morning about 11:30 a.m. I e-mailed Bob Borch, the money guy from Elmbrook:
Subject: BC (2)
Have they made any more payments on the Astroturf project?
At 3:55 he replied:
Cindy: The last payment we received was in February for $6,500.
Bob
At 6:17pm the NOW site posted a story on the same subject - a subject that wasn’t on any agenda or calendar.
At 7:26pm I posted my piece. I’ve quit reading the NOW site, so I didn’t realize their’s was up until I got an e-mail just now.
I’m perfectly willing to admit that there’s that unique chance that two people had the same obtuse thought on the very same day.

Cindy - just for clarifications sake, did Central buy AstroTurf (the name brand) or did they get a artificial turf from another company. I did not have the luxury of playing on field-turf (a synthetic grass field) until college. The money for that particular field at Schneider Stadium in Waukesha came in the form of one $1.25 million donation from a former CEO of Dell Computers.

I’m sure it’s something else, but like one grabs for a Kleenex, that’s what I called it when I asked.

Dan,
It is field turf…..The cost of the BCHS field was less than $1.25 million
