The youngest made another cut today. It’s her second donation. We nicknamed the pony tails the “Cousins It.” They are now in a bag with the donation form ready to be mailed in.

What a nice thing to do. “Cousin It” will help some girl somewhere feel better during a very traumatic time in her life.
Whenever I hear of women doing this, I cannot help but think of Jo in Little Women who made a sacrifice for her dad. (Isn’t it great we no longer have those stigmas attached to a shorter hairdo?)

Oops, I meant to say, “Cousins It”

I’ve donated to Locks of Love also and felt pretty on the inside even when I missed my hair and did not feel so pretty on the outside. Sometimes life is about decorating our hearts, and those of others as well.
:o)

AHH OMG I LOVE HER HAIRCUT! This is kinda weird that I’m commenting on your blog and I feel like a stalker… but oh well. At least Meg gave me the address for it (because I was being annoying and bugging her about wanting to see her haircut) and I didn’t like do an intense search to find it.
Now Meg and I are more like twins again with shorter hair and two donations! Woo! I remember having my hair in a bag and how disgusting it looked just sitting there… but then I remembered that it’s for a really good cause and I didn’t care.

You are indeed as much like twins as ever. See you tomorrow night!
(Her brother thinks the hair looks like a dead animal on the kitchen island.)

Okay, I give up trying to figure it out. What does her shirt say that she loves?

NY! (A worthy $5 addition to the wardrobe, I might add.)

$5? My sophomore got 5 for $10 in Times Square on a trip to NYC last year. They are his prized possession(s). He thought he was such a savvy shopper!

Oh bummer, if there’s anything I dislike it’s realizing I didn’t get the better bargain!
