…my mother is born at the army based where Gramps is stationed; my grandmother is Rosie the Riveter working on a bomber assembly line; my grandfather sloshes around in the mud of France, part of Patton’s army.
So if Obama’s grandfather, the dominate male figure of his childhood, was in Patton’s army soldering in France during WWII, why the heck did Barry quip about his “uncle” liberating “Auschwitz” when he could have used his own grandfather as an example of service for that Memorial Day speech? Obama chose instead to highlight a story (that turned out to be quite exaggerated) of misery instead of service.
It was grandstanding that really backfired.

So, Obama said the wrong name of the death camp. After eight years of Bush looking for the truth, and McCain being unable to count, you’re arguments here are lacking.

But I wasn’t discussing Bush or McCain. Capper, you can’t bring them into the conversation as argument.
Barack Obama “said the wrong name of the death camp” AND used the wrong title for a family member. He used a rough family story as evidence that he knew the importance of caring for veteran’s needs, but he missed on two points.
But one is still to assume that Barack Obama knows best?

I call my great great uncle my uncle. This is so silly, it truly shows how much you’re grasping for straws.
