Fairly Conservative

What if I was right?

Former Waukesha District Attorney Paul Bucher continues to make life interesting. If you recall, I openly speculated (yep, pulled it right out of the blue) that he might be preparing for a run against State Assemblyman Don Pridemore from the 99th. In an odd letter to the editor that Pridemore writes, he says Bucher sent him an email:

You may want to include in your pillow talk with Paul a question on the e-mails he sends out. I have a dandy one he sent me if you’d like to read it. The last line reads, “You need real competition in the fall. Let’s see if we can arrange that.” How would you interpret that? Is Paul still upset I endorsed J.B. Van Hollen for attorney general over him? Paul never even asked for my endorsement.

Pridemore finishes the letter with:

I’m hoping both of you realize you are not helping yourselves or the causes you claim to care about. I’d be happy to sit down with both of you to discuss your concerns. I’ll buy the coffee. I suggest decaf.

We see such arrogance from one of our council members in Brookfield, but none of the state representation. It looks like Pridemore is in trouble if you ask me.

What an embarrassment. How unprofessional and disrespectful. Do you know what motivated this editorial?

  • 2 El gato // May 5, 2008 at 5:03 pm

    I repeat…Pridemore is a good man!

FP, What are you calling unprofessional?

If Bucher sent an email like that, I suggesst he is the unprofessional one.

Why don’t you ask Bucher to reply or ask Pridemore to post the entire email?

“You need real competition in the fall. Let’s see if we can arrange that.”

Anon…you don’t think an elected State Assemblyman throwing a temper tantrum all over the Editorial page of a newspaper is unprofessional?

Do you even know what he is so ticked off over? I still haven’t figured it out and I read his editorial a few times.

    Fair Play

Did you miss the part about maybe WE can arrange that.

You don’t think a Former Elected DA threatening an incumbent Assemblyman Sucks?

    Cindy,

You are on the right side, slightly conservative, so who would you support Pridemore or Bucher?

    Pridemore, duh.

He seemed kinda arrogant when I met him, didn’t wanna say anything though it has now been corroborated.

Single Mom, I don’t know, as I don’t really know Mr. Pridemore very well except for sound bites. I will say those are rather odd, though.

Besides, the more I think about it, the more I suspect it’s actually McBride that’s planning the run.

He comes to the ABATE meetings in Hartford and speaks and I can tell you that he is a conservative and is my kind of legislator…he supports bikers’ right to choose!

  • 10 Anonymous // May 6, 2008 at 9:20 am

That would be interesting Cindy. Paul lost because he was married to McBride and she will lose because she is married to Bucher

  • 11 Anonymous // May 6, 2008 at 1:42 pm

    Did you read this one

    Letter to the editor

If Bucher can’t represent his own clients, how is he going to
represent the 47,531 citizens in the 99th assembly district

  • 12 Single Mom // May 6, 2008 at 4:22 pm

What do you mean attorney Bucher can’t represent his own clients?

  • 13 Anonymous // May 6, 2008 at 6:25 pm

    Singlemom

Read the whole letter to the editor and decide for yourself

  • 14 Cindy Kilkenny // May 6, 2008 at 6:29 pm

Can you post a link to the letter? Is at the Freeman site?

  • 15 Zach W. // May 6, 2008 at 6:37 pm

Cindy, I’m actually inclined to agree that I’ve got the feeling it’s actually Jessica who’s planning a run, not Paul.

  • 16 Anonymous // May 7, 2008 at 9:14 am

    Maybe they could job share

  • 17 Anonymous // May 7, 2008 at 1:48 pm

I’d very much like to hear/see whatever you have. Should I give you a call?

    Mike

    I read your article

Is this a one time shot for you, or is this a topic you have a serious interest in?

I have a story regarding a rather well-known public figure culminating in a letter and affidavit
    you might find interesting.

If you have a serious interest and would not shy away because of the notoriety of
the attorney involved, let me know.

I can provide you with an extraordinary amount of documentation and you can for your own
opinion regarding the value of informing the public.

I seem to stumble over enough trouble on my own. The Bucher/McBride story is interesting to me because of my personal history with Ms. McBride’s storytelling abilities. Other than keeping up with the elected in SE Wisconsin, there’s not much more incentive.

  • 19 Single Mom // May 8, 2008 at 1:41 pm

    Cindy,

The problem is McBride hasn’t been telling any stories lately.

  • 20 Cindy Kilkenny // May 8, 2008 at 2:09 pm

Oh, her lack of tall tales isn’t bothering me a bit!

  • 21 To: Don Pridemore // May 10, 2008 at 2:56 pm

    Mr. Pridemore,

If you expect Paul or Jess to run against you and would like some potential advertising information, send me an emial.

McBride can’t leave it alone. You know she keeps pumping the topic to see if she or Paul have any support.

Rugrats?????? That’s how she addresses her child(ren) I thought they only had one less than in their teeens.

Was one of her teens pulling on her pants ay McDonalds while she dran decaf coffee.

    What a nutcase

Oh, come on! Give a link or something!

    Found it: http://www.gmtoday.com/milwaukeetoday/editorials/mcbride.asp

She doesn’t have her blog anymore, does she? I’m surprised it’s still listed in her bio.

  • 24 Anonymous // May 10, 2008 at 11:33 pm

She is telling people she might start blogging again when she has more time. Too many rugrats or dingbats or something I guess.

  • 25 Fair Play // May 11, 2008 at 1:01 pm

Thanks for the link Cindy. I was wondering what anon was talking about. I have to say reading Jessica McBride’s response to Pridemore was enjoyable. Good for her!
